Bio

Jim Parker is a Nashville Singer Songwriter whose music has been described as “Part Country, Part Americana, All Inspiration”.

Jim lives in Seagrove Beach, FL & Telluride, CO.

In July, 2017, Jim released his new album, I Say Yes, which was co-produced by Jim & his wife, Lee Anne Pilson, and contains their ten favorite songs they have created individually, together and/or with other co-writers.

Jim grew up in Alabama and started his recording career in Muscle Shoals & Nashville in the mid 70s. He toured the U.S., opening concerts for folks like Ray Charles, Kenny Rogers, Seals & Crofts, Phoebe Snow, & BJ Thomas, while working as a studio singer in Nashville. Just as his own records were taking off, he walked away from the music industry completely (what was he thinking?!), choosing instead to pursue family life. He returned to Nashville in late 1999 at the behest of some of his music buddies. He has since focused on writing and performing at iconic songwriter venues including Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe and Puckett's of Leiper’s Fork. He and his wife, Lee Anne Pilson, got together in 2002 and have been co-writing songs ever since.

On his new album, I Say Yes, Jim sings and plays acoustic guitar, accompanied by amazing, talented friends, including: Dobro master & 14-time Grammy winner, Jerry Douglas; Blake Shelton's fiddle player, Jenee Fleenor; Chicago's lead guitarist, Keith Howland; the "Voice of New Grass", currently touring with the Doobie Brothers, John Cowan; Vince Gill's keyboard player, Pete Wasner; Taylor Swift's drummer, Nick Buda; and more. What a blessing to have such great players on this project!

I Say Yes, is available here, and on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, CD Baby and more.
